If you're having difficulty with your finances, there is help available to you. Don't wait until it's too late to reach out for help. Call your lender to talk to them - banks and mortgage companies really do not want to foreclose on people, and many times they can find a way to work with you so you don't lose your home. CALL THEM and talk to them - they want to help you if they can. If the person who answers the phone can't help you, ask to speak to their supervisor, and keep on asking to speak to someone else until you get connected to someone who can help you. Freddie Mac has some great advice on their website - "Avoiding Mortgage Fraud". Check this out if you need help and don't know where to start. Call a professional REALTOR to help you. Be honest with them when you do call - they need to know your situation, and if you're having financial difficulties, be upfront about that so that REALTOR can do their very best by you. If you withhold pertinent information, you'll likely not end up with the results you want and need - your home SOLD. Let your REALTOR help you while you still have some time on your side.
