Getting back to the shopping, for all you shoppers - Friday nights in downtown Portsmouth now offers a unique shopping experience, "Portsmouth Lights on Friday Nights".  Every Friday night, many of the shops downtown will be open later than usual, until 9pm.  This is a new pilot program that the Downtown Business Association has worked hard on to kick off.

At the request of many of Portsmouth's residents and visitors, a wonderful shopping experience awaits that can then be topped off with dinner and/or dessert at one of our many great restaurants or a night at one of the local theater venues downtown.  Another treat under the lights on Friday nights is dessert and coffee at one of our nice little outdoor cafes......pull up a chair, enjoy the downtown lights, and do some great people-watching.

Portsmouth NH is one of the great gems of New England, that's for sure.  We're a beautiful working port, a great walking seaside small city, and we've got loads of fabulous places for you to come and explore.  Parks, theaters, restaurants, shops, history - all just waiting for you!
