Portsmouth NH Homes ~ Market Information

The Portsmouth New Hampshire real estate market is a busy one due to this area being such a wonderful place to live, and we have homes in all sizes and price ranges. We have historic antique homes dating back to the 1600's and 1700's, newer construction homes, and everything in between.

The Portsmouth New Hampshire real estate market is a busy one due to this area being such a wonderful place to live, and we have homes in all sizes and price ranges.

We have historic antique homes dating back to the 1600's and 1700's, newer construction homes, and everything in between.

Currently, in Portsmouth, we have 68 homes for sale, and they range in price from $197,900 to $9,500,000.  Our housing styles in this area cover ranch styles, capes, garrisons, federals, victorians, New Englander (farmhouse styles), and colonials. Here are some pictures of some of the homes around town:

To see a sampling of homes that have recently sold in Portsmouth, see this beautifully and lovingly remodelled 1900's New Englander, and this simply gorgeous waterfront home.

I've prepared some graphs to show the market activity this year, year-to-date 2007, and last year 2006, showing the same time frame.  This will show you what the trend has been over the last almost 2 years here in Portsmouth.  And I've also included the statistics showing homes sold, selling prices, days on market, etc.

Portsmouth Prescott Park - Gardens and Pier Overlooking the River - Ann Cummings 2007Portsmouth offers such a wide variety of things to do all year long!  We've got all kinds of theaters, parks, music, museums, galleries, and of course shopping galore in the downtown area as well as just a few minutes away at all the outlets in Kittery Maine, just across the bridge.

Being right here along the coast, we've got beaches and all kinds of boating and ocean activities for the summers.  If you love winter sports, we've got ice skating, snow skiing and loads of winter fun close by as well.  Great winter alpine skiing is as close as a 45 minute drive, and just a bit further you'll find winter fun in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

We've got loads of restaurants of just about every taste imaginable.  We've actually been dubbed "The Restaurant Capital of the Eastern Seaboard" because we have more restaurants per capita than any other area.  You'll never go hungry here!!  And we've got plenty of nightlife too, even in the thick of winter!

Our schools are top-notch, especially with the brand-new renovation and additions at the Portsmouth High School.  And we've got a gorgeous brand-new huge library centrally located in the downtown area.  Our new library has something for everyone and it is a beauty, too!

Portsmouth NH - The Athaneum in Downtown Market Square - Ann Cummings 2007

If you love history, you'll love this area!  We've got some awesome historical areas all over town - loads of historical homes open to the public.  Strawbery Banke is our very own outdoor living museum showing 375 years of living history - this is an awesome place to spend an entire day if you have the time.

The Athaneum in downtown Market Square is a fabulous museum full of local history, and it's in a gorgeous brick building right in the heart of the town.

As you can probably tell, I love living here in Portsmouth, and if you're interested in making this wonderful place your new home, I'd love to help.
