Summer here along America's tiniest coast in New Hampshire is really just the cat's meow!  In my opinion, there is no better place to be than here in the Portsmouth New Hampshire area for summer, or any other time of year.

 

We've got the smallest coast in the country, but we pack a lot of fun events into each month here - no matter the time of year.  Many of our summer fun actitivies are held in our gorgeous outdoor venues, like Prescott Park, Peirce Island, New Castle Common, Odiorne State Park, Hampton Beach, and other great spots. 

 

~ August 7 - Lighthouse Tours marking National Lighthouse Day - Isles of Shoals Steamship Co. - Downtown Portsmouth Docks

~ August 7 - "National Night Out Neighborhood Fest" - 5 to 8:30pm St. Catherine's Church field - Portsmouth.

~ August 8 - US Air Force Liberty Pops Band - Prescott Park Arts Festival - 7pm to 9pm - Portsmouth.

~ August 9 - Music-by-the-Sea Concert Series continues - Odiorne State Park right on the ocean - Seacoast Science Center - 6pm with Jumbo Circus Peanuts playing - Rye.  

~ August 11 - Concert for the American Lighthouse Foundation - New England Blue Grass Band - 3pm to 6pm at South Church - Downtown Portsmouth.

~ August 13th to 17th - Annual Hampton Beach Children's Festival - barbecues, magic show, parades, and more all for kids of all ages - Hampton Beach.

~ August 18 & 19 - Wings of Hope Air Show - Pease International Tradeport - 9am to 4pm - Portsmouth.

~ August 18 & 19 - 2nd Annual Hampton Beach Volleyball Competition - beginning at 10am - Hampton Beach.
