Portsmouth NH Homes ~ Market InformationThe Portsmouth New Hampshire real estate market is a busy one due to this area being such a wonderful place to live, and we have homes in all sizes and price ranges. We have historic antique homes dating back to the 1600's and 1700's, newer construction homes, and everything in between.
Currently, in Portsmouth, we have 68 homes for sale, and they range in price from $197,900 to $9,500,000. Our housing styles in this area cover ranch styles, capes, garrisons, federals, victorians, New Englander (farmhouse styles), and colonials. Here are some pictures of some of the homes around town: To see a sampling of homes that have recently sold in Portsmouth, see this beautifully and lovingly remodelled 1900's New Englander, and this simply gorgeous waterfront home. I've prepared some graphs to show the market activity this year, year-to-date 2007, and last year 2006, showing the same time frame. This will show you what the trend has been over the last almost 2 years here in Portsmouth. And I've also included the statistics showing homes sold, selling prices, days on market, etc. ![]()

Being right here along the coast, we've got beaches and all kinds of boating and ocean activities for the summers. If you love winter sports, we've got ice skating, snow skiing and loads of winter fun close by as well. Great winter alpine skiing is as close as a 45 minute drive, and just a bit further you'll find winter fun in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
If you love history, you'll love this area! We've got some awesome historical areas all over town - loads of historical homes open to the public. Strawbery Banke is our very own outdoor living museum showing 375 years of living history - this is an awesome place to spend an entire day if you have the time. The Athaneum in downtown Market Square is a fabulous museum full of local history, and it's in a gorgeous brick building right in the heart of the town. As you can probably tell, I love living here in Portsmouth, and if you're interested in making this wonderful place your new home, I'd love to help.
