New Hampshire Primary Results - The "Comeback State"

It's Wednesday morning, the morning after the New Hampshire

NH Live Free or Die
It's Wednesday morning, the morning after the New Hampshire "First in the Nation Primary" - I am GLAD that's over!  Being a registered Independent in the state of NH isn't a lot of fun, at least not for me.

NH, with a little over a million residents, had a record turnout yesterday for the primary elections.  We had over 500,000 voters show up at the polls to cast their vote for the person they think should be the next US President.

Some of the polling places ran out of ballots, there was such a high turnout, and some others ran low.  Some polling places stayed open later than publicized hours because the lines were so long.

The concession speeches last night were gracious and the victory speeches were dynamic and energetic.  And now all the candidates have moved on to the next states on the primary and caucus schedules.

The results from New Hampshire's Primary, with a few locations still left to report in as of 6:30am, are:

          McCain       38%                     Clinton       40%
          Romney      32%                     Obama       37%
          Huckabee   11%                     Edwards    17%
          Giuliani        9%                      Richards      5%
          Paul             8%                      Kucinich      1%
          Thompson   1%

New Hampshire has been called the "Comeback State" in the past, and once again, we've proven to be very independent in our thinking and have given both John McCain and Hillary Clinton comeback victories in our state primary.

When the primaries are in your state, make sure to exercise your right and privilege, and get out there and vote!

For those of you who are political junkies, I'm sure you'd love being part of what goes on here in New Hampshire during every election campaign.

New Hampshire Welcome Sign - Ann Cummings

For those of you who are political junkies, I'm sure you'd love being part of what goes on here in New Hampshire during every election campaign.

The New Hampshire political scene does get the blood flowing, but not always in a good way......

Being the home of the "First in the Nation Primary", we get to see all the candidates up front and in person.  We can see them, touch them, hear them just about everywhere we go almost from the moment the campaigning begins.  And as we get closer to the primaries, you can't help but literally run into candidates of both parties all over the state in all of our cities and towns, large and small.  And don't forget all the media trailing them to get whatever scoop, missteps, mistakes, etc. any of them make.

New Hampshire Real Estate Market - 2007

We all know that the real estate markets in many areas of the country have been less-than-hot over the last year and a half to two years. In spite of that, there are also areas in the country that didn't see the turbulent ups and downs that many markets experienced.

Live Free or Die - NH Granite MarkerWe all know that the real estate markets in many areas of the country have been less-than-hot over the last year and a half to two years.

In spite of that, there are also areas in the country that didn't see the turbulent ups and downs that many markets experienced.  The east and west coasts saw more of the swings than did the middle part of the country, and even within those areas, there were pockets that saw just the opposite.

And yet, in spite of real estate being very local, the media would have us all believe there is such a thing as a 'national real estate market'.  NOT!  If that were the case, we'd all be high-flying at the same time, as well as flying low at the same time, too.  That just doesn't happen, and will never happen.
