Are you a Portsmouth homeowner thinking of selling your home or condo? Do you have a multi-family in the Portsmouth area that you're thinking about selling?

Portsmouth New Hampshire Homes

Are you a Portsmouth NH homeowner thinking of selling your home or condo?  Do you have a multi-family in the Portsmouth area that you're thinking about selling?

If so, this pricing information may help you price your real estate correctly right from the start.

Your asking price on your home or condo is the single most important component of getting your home or condo sold.  Sure, the condition and the location both play major roles, but the price you put on your property is the cricitical factor as that takes into account both location and condition.

And to help determine the correct price for today's market, you need the advice from a full-time experienced REALTOR.  Your REALTOR will use their experience, knowledge of the market place and market conditions, and their professional track record to provide you with a market proposal which will help you to both come up with a competitive position for your property.

The factors that go into determining the best competitive position for your property are:

Portsmouth New Hampshire Real Estate - Inspections Before Selling Pay Off

Are you a homeowner in the Portsmouth NH Seacoast real estate market? Are you thinking about selling your home or condo?

Portsmouth NH Real Estate For Sale

Home Inspector Preparing Report
Are you a homeowner in the Portsmouth NH Seacoast real estate market?  Are you thinking about selling your home or condo

If you are, I would encourage you to have home inspections done before putting your home on the market.

Why?  There are a number of good reasons to do so!

The first, and the most important ,reason is so you can know in advance what inspectors will be finding and telling your potential buyers.  Forewarned is forearmed, and in this case, that's a GREAT thing!  There is no perfect house, not even new construction, so just know right up front that a home inspector is going to find something, and most likely several somethings at the very least.

Knowing about problems before putting Portsmouth homes and condos on the market for sale, provides you the opportunity to address those items before they ever become an issue.  If the issues that an inspection reveals are minor in nature, you're better off taking care of them right away so they won't become an issue in the buyer's inspection.  Major issues revealed are also best taken care of as well because many buyers are not interested, nor do they have the wherewithal to take care of major problems.  Those also tend to scare away more homebuyers as well.

Are you a Portsmouth NH homeowner thinking about selling in today's market?

Make no mistake about it, we're in a challenging market, and it takes far more effort today to get a home or condo sold.  It's tough in this market - make sure you're ready!

We live in the age of the Internet, and proof of that is in the fact that roughly 85% of buyers today begin their search on-line.  EIGHTY-FIVE percent - that's a HUGE change from just a few short years ago.  That fact alone demands a completely different method for sellers and their agents.

If you're already on the market for sale, no doubt you're already experiencing some of the challenges today, including finding the magic price to cause your house to actually sell.  The biggest mistake sellers are making in this market is pricing their homes or condos too high for today's environment.  If you've already adjusted your price, you know the frustrations of dealing with pricing issues.

Portsmouth New Hampshire homeowners work hard to get their homes ready for showings, and they know what we've been dealing with this winter for weather, and yes, it's snowing yet AGAIN here today!

Snow-Covered Backyard - Portsmouth NH
Portsmouth New Hampshire homeowners work hard to get their homes ready for showings, and they know what we've been dealing with this winter for weather, and yes, it's snowing yet AGAIN here today!

If you have your home or condo on the market for sale, you're faced with the challenges of dealing with snow, ice and slushy messes while trying to keep your floors clean for showings.  It's certainly not easy, that's for sure!

Here are some quick and easy tips to help keep the messes outside and not inside on your floors:

  • Keep walkways, steps, patios, decks and driveways clear of snow and ice - this takes some work, but it does 2 major things for you, 1) it helps to keep the winter messiness out of your house because there's nothing to track in, and 2) it helps to decrease your liability because there will be fewer slips and falls if driveways and walkways are kept clear.
