State of Maine Real Estate Agency Disclosure

The Maine Real Estate Commission requires that a Maine real estate licensee disclosure their agency status to consumers at their first business meeting. This disclosure states that unless you enter into a written brokerage agreement with the licensee for client level representation you are considered a "customer" and the licensee is not your agent.

As a customer you should not expect the licensee to promote your best interest, or to keep any information you give the licensee confidential including your bargaining position.

To obtain the best experience buying or selling Maine real estate we encourage you to become our client. We're happy to explain all the details for you at any time.
